At Mansons Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the gift of sound—regardless of the circumstances they are born into. That’s why we are deeply committed to supporting children with hearing impairments, ensuring they have access to life-changing medical interventions that help them thrive.
We are honoured to share the inspiring journey of Ayesha Sekhda, a young girl from Ghatkopar West, Mumbai, who was born with severe hearing loss.
From birth, Ayesha was unable to hear her parents’ voices, the sound of laughter, or the music that brings joy to so many. Though her parents were filled with love and hope, they faced the painful truth that without timely medical intervention, Ayesha would struggle to engage with the world around her.
With the support of The Mansons Foundation, Ayesha underwent bilateral cochlear implant surgery, performed by Dr. Chris De Souza, an ENT surgeon at Holy Family Hospital in Bandra West.
This transformative procedure has opened new doors for Ayesha, allowing her to experience the world of sound and speech, just like any other child her age. The cochlear implants are more than just medical devices—they serve as a vital link to communication, enabling Ayesha to connect with her family, interact at school, and engage fully in everyday life.
